Course Objectives: The major goal of this course is to provide comprehensive and introductory
information that isusefultostudentswithlittleornobackgroundinbiologyandtointegrateanatomyand
physiologyinawaythatreinforcestheinseparablerelationshipbetweenstructureandfunction.
ClassAttendancePolicy:Classattendanceismandatory.Attendancebeginsthefirstdayofclass
andallstudentsareexpectedtoremaininclassfortheentireclassperiodunlesspriorarrangements
havebeenmadewiththeinstructor.Absenteeismcannotexceedthecredithoursforthecourse.
Excessiveabsencesmayresultintheinstructorloweringthegradeearnedbyonelettergradee.g.A

Astudentisallowedamaximumofone(1)unexcused.However,eachadditionalunexcusedabsence

Grade Composition: During the semester, 3 onehour exam are scheduled (including the final exam).
Additionally, writing assignments and laboratory activities will given, and your final grade will be an
averageofallgrades(weightedevenly).
Studentsareremindedthattheyareheldresponsibleforallassignedworkinthiscourseandfor
participationinsuchwork.ItshouldbepointedoutthatIamnotobligatedtoadministeranexamination

toastudentwhoisabsentfromclassunlessanofficialexcuse,basedonhealthorbusinessforthe
collegeisreceived.Nomakeupexamswillbegivenforunexcusedabsences.
