Student Teaching
Honed class management skills and flexible, dynamic teaching styles with the
guidance and support of Mrs. Anita Davidson. Taught K-5 general music as well as
5th and 4th grade choir. Lessons emphasized Orff and Kodly strategy-
revolving around experiential music making and music literacy. All lesson plans
reflect the National Standards for Music Education and the tenants of Critical
Pedagogy.

Elementary Praxis
Team-taught and lesson coordinated for six weeks. Lessons reflected creative and
innovative techniques- lessons also reflected National Standards for Music
Education and tenants of Critical Pedagogy; Emphasis on Orff and Gordon
techniques, instrumental exploration.

Secondary practicum experience at several Middle and High Schools in the New
Jersey area; this included observation and teaching opportunities at Pennsbury High
School, William Penn Middle School, Newtown Middle School.
