The Chevy Chase Club is very large, full-service family club only minutes from our nations capital.
Aside from the countless amenities offered, the Parklands style course is an original 1910 Donald
Ross design and is an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Greens, tees, and fairways are Creeping
Bentgrass, while the roughs are predominately turf-type tall fescue. The driving range boasts 2
Perennial Ryegrass tees and 2 Patriot Bermudagrass tees.
Worked cooperatively with golf course construction company, McDonald & Sons, through full
greens re-grassing from Crenshaw to the new, improved 007 Creeping Bentgrass
Monitored project by McDonald & Sons for the recontouring of 4 greens, the renovation of the
greens complex and fairway bunkering on the 8th hole, and the construction of a new nursery
Converted collars from Creeping Bentgrass to Perennial Ryegrass in tandem with the greens
resurfacing project
Reshaped fairway lines on 8th hole and used recycled grass from project to convert high traffic,
Poa annua contaminated areas on approaches to clean Bentgrass
Oversaw and planned out irrigation upgrade improvements to rough areas with inadequate
coverage
Completed tee realignment project on all tees to allow the golfer to square stance to center of
fairway
Worked cooperatively with Syngenta WeevilTrak and consultant Steve McDonald to provide
valuable data towards Annual Bluegrass Weevil research
Introduced new Aussie style bunker raking method to increase playability and decrease labor
costs
Advanced personnel management with regards to planning, sequencing, efficiency, and goal
setting

Card Sound Golf Club is a private 18-Hole Devlin-Von Hagge creation in the Florida Keys. The
course is made up of 14 year-old TifEagle greens, while 419 Bermudagrass rounds out the majority
of the fairways, tees, and surrounds. Card Sound has a large pool of international interns and staff
which made the experience unique.
Introduction to diverse cultural practices: core/solid tine aerification, DryJect, HydroJect, Graden
scarification, grooming, verticutting, and topdressing greens and fairways.
Converted (via sprigging) #7 fairway from Zoysia/Paspalum mix to the new Celebration
Bermudagrass via no-till sprigging
Gained a strong knowledge of native area cultivation, sectional water management, and every
aspect of setting up the golf course.
