Section 1: Personal Information
1. What would be your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be to go somewhere tropical. I have always
wanted to go to Hawaii, but if I had the opportunity to go somewhere out of
the States it would be probably be Jamaica or Bora Bora.
2. What is your biggest accomplishment so far?
I have many big accomplishments so far, and the ones I am most proud of
are making Varsity soccer as a freshman and getting a 3.9/4.0 GPA each
year. I am proud of being on the Varsity soccer team as a freshman because
that never really happened at Reitz until my class came. I am proud of my
grades every year because I know that I work hard to keep my grades up,
and those are going to play a major part in college things.
3. What is your favorite fall festival food?
My favorite Fall Festival food is either chicken and dumplings, walking tacos,
pork sandwiches, or cake balls. It really depends on what I am in the mood to
eat when I am down there.
4. What makes you stand out from the crowd?
Some things that make me stand out of the crowd are my height, my smarts,
my car, my sport. I am taller than most girls at school, and it is hard for
people not to notice me when I walk through the halls because of that. I
think I am better at most of the harder subjects in school than most people
are because I pick up on the math and science a lot easier than most of my
friends. My car is really unique because no one else at school has a car that
is anything similar to mine, and people always comment on how they see me
at certain places because they saw my car first. Soccer makes me stand out
because most people assume that I play basketball or volleyball because of
my height, but they realize that I am more of a soccer player once they see
me play.
5. What was the worst (or best) day of your life?
One of the best days of my life was when I went to a Hoodie Allen concert
last October with two of my friends. We got to meet Hoodie after the concert,
and it was really cool because he is one of my favorite artists. It was also
really fun because I got to go with my friends.
6. What is your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is one year at Easter when me, my sister, my
cousin, and everyone else in the family came over to do an Easter egg hunt
in our yard. We got done hunting for the eggs, and of course we all sat down
to see what was in them. My mom thought it would be funny to put a hardboiled egg in one of the ones I picked up, and she helped me peel it so I
could eat it. My dad starting recording me and was like, Mikayla smile at the
camera. I just opened my mouth and let the whole egg fall out. I get to
rewatch the video every now and then, and it makes me laugh every time.
7. What has been the best advice someone has given you?
The best advice anyone has ever given me was not to let other peoples
opinions affect me to the point where it makes me miserable. My dad told me
that when I was nine and was thinking about quitting soccer because of my
coach. My dad told me that as long as I enjoyed playing, then I should ignore
what my coach thinks and stick with it because I would get a new coach soon
anyways. That advice has still applied to every other activity that I have
done because everyone always has an opinion about things, but I stick with it
as long as I am enjoying myself.
8. What is your most played song on your playlist?
This is a hard question because there are so many songs that I listen to on a
daily basis that it is hard to pick which one I play the most. I listen to a lot of
Hoodie Allen, SoMo, and Eminem. That is obviously a wide range, and I have
a ton of songs from all three artists that are my favorites. My mood affects
what I listen to each day, but most of the time I like anything that has a lot of
bass.
9. What is something someone would be surprised to know about
you?
People are always surprised at how many animals I have at my house. I have
4 horses, lots of chickens, a turtle, a rabbit, and 6 cats. Some people get
slightly overwhelmed at how many animals we have, but my family enjoys
having all of them around. People are usually shocked at how much land we
have to keep all of the animals on because we live less than ten minutes
away from Reitz. When they walk back behind our house, it is almost like a
mini zoo.
10.
I think grades in high school definitely reflect your ability. To be honest, the
only reason why anyone would fail a class is if they absolutely do not try. If
someone needs help in a class, there is always someone available to help,
they just have to have the motivation to want to learn the material. Some
people say that grades mean nothing because not everyone learns the same,
but if that is true then everyone should take the material and learn it in the
way that works best for them instead of claiming that the material cant be
learned.
11.
I do not regret anything about my high school experience so far. I feel like I
have done everything and more that I had hoped to do before I graduate,
and that makes me feel good because I know that I tried new things and
found what worked best for me.
13.
The best advice I could give to a freshman is to take a lot of pictures and
enjoy every single moment of high school because it will be over before you
have time to realize it. Taking pictures will allow them to remember a lot of
what they did that year after it is over. High school has been the best four
years of my life, and hopefully they make it an experience as great as mine
by getting involved and having fun doing it.
14.
The thing that motivates me the most to succeed is my future. I want to have
a solid job that will make me enough money to support a family or whatever I
need it for. I do not want to end up struggling later on in my life because of
being lazy during school. I keep this in mind all the time when I do my
schoolwork.
16.
other laugh, and she is more like family to me than a friend because of how
much time we have spent together over the years. I know what she is
thinking or feeling before she ever says anything because Ive been around
her so much. Each year our friendship gets stronger, and hopefully it will stay
that way after high school.
17.
Why?
I have always admired my parents because both of them work extremely
hard at anything they do. They provide my sister and I with anything and
everything that we need, and they are always looking out for the best
interests of others.
19.
I cherish honesty, integrity, and loyalty the most. Honestly is the most
important to me because I feel like that if Im honest with everyone then
they should have the same respect for me. Integrity and loyalty are
important too because I think people should own up to all of their actions,
and I think people should be loyal to one another and not just drop each
other for no reason.
20.
What is the nicest thing you have ever done for someone?
The nicest thing I have ever done for someone is when one of my friends had
a dance recital that no one was able to go watch her perform in. Since we
could not make it, my friends and I went out and bought her a bunch of
flowers and made her a little card to show that we hoped she danced well
that day. She was completely shocked because no one had ever done that for
her, and we were glad that we did that for her after we saw her reaction.
