COMMENDATIONS: Cara possesses a positive and enthusiastic personality. She has a

great rapport with the students she worked with. She is very flexible and has been able to
jump right in where needed. She was able to adjust to the various schedule changes that
naturally occur with the job.
Cara planned and implemented lessons in the subjects of reading for grades one and two.
She successfully demonstrated her awareness of different learning styles and adequately
adjusted lessons to meet the varied needs of her students.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The role of the teacher is continuing to shift to facilitator so
it is important to find ways to release control of the lesson to the students. When you are
preparing lessons, try to find ways to allow students to be in control of how they are
learning. Things as simple as offering choices of activities or assessments can empower
students and keep them engaged in their learning.
