Become familiar with the C3 Framework for Social Studies State
Standards (view one hour webcast)
Assign: read through your grade level instructional planning guide
and become familiar with the Dimensions 1-4 of the framework (K2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12)
Create an OEU (overarching enduring and understanding for K-12
social studies). Our collective vision for 4K-12 social studies is

Get into your grade level groups and discuss the C3 grade level
instructional planning guide Dimensions 1-4 (K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12)
Assign: collaborate in your grade level bands to update charts of
units taught and changes to be made to reflect new units (PLC
