Should all forms of expression be protected legally? Why or why not?

I dont think that all forms of expression should be protected legally. My main points are going to
surround the Charlie Hebdo article. The creator of the comic insulted an entire religion, a religion
that time and time again, has been very protective of themselves. After the journalists were killed
by terrorists, which was unjustified, but they should have been punished in some way, a Islamic
boy spoke out, defending the terrorists. He claimed that they were just protecting what they
believed in.

Charlie Hebdo is also an example of a hate crime. Since Charlie Hebdo is making fun of
Muslims and portraying one of their most sacred icons in such a perverted way, its no
surprise that the terrorist attack happened. The author of the comic knew it would offend,
but he went along with it anyway.
( Law Profs Argument for Punishing Hate Speech Sparks Passionate Defenses of
First Amendment )

In recent years, the press is not aloud to show this comic. Now this I am okay with,
but it does mean that the government has control over the press. They can pick and
choose which parts stay and which go. With Charlie Hebdo, it deserved to be
cancelled and while I dont think killing the creators was justified, something should
have happened. But other important articles arent being passed through the news,
which means that the government has control.
