On-the-Job Trainings / Internshipsthis is an avenue for students who are looking for
experiences with academic credits but without making a long term commitment with
an employer. Eventually students will be given priority for future recruitment activities of our partner companies.

other networking events to learn more about job and internship opportunities.
Part-time / Summer Job Opportunitiesthese are opportunities for the students to
earn money for tuition and other school expenses with a clear consideration of their

Non-Verbal Communication
Greet the employer with a firm handshake
Wait to sit down after the employer has offered you a chair and has been seated first
Maintain steady eye contact.
Use positive facial expressions and speech qualities
Show interest by using good posture and easy smiles
Active listening with controlled response
Refrain from squirming or any other intentional nervous behaviors
Verbal Communication
Allow the interviewer to direct the interview and never interrupt
Use clear, concise answersdon't ramble
Dont use fillers when answering e.g. you know, uh or like
Dont exaggerate and dont be negative
Listen to what is being asked and answer appropriately
Use proper grammar
Maintain an appropriate sense of humor
Dont make excuses for yourself or put yourself down
Interview Etiquette
Dont be negative, even on the smallest issue
Thank the interviewer for the meeting and convey a positive attitude
Make sure you obtain the correct spelling, address and phone numbers
Be polite and honest, be careful not to talk so much
Dont refer to the interviewer by his first name unless given permission
Introduce yourself to the staff when you arrive
Arrive at least 20 minutes early
Call two days before the interview to confirm the date, time, location and the name
of the interviewer.

Interviewing
The interview provides you with the opportunity to articulate your job related, learned /
transferable, and self-management skills as well as how you are prepared to contribute to
the organization. Some more of these opportunities are:
Meet face to face with a hiring authority and listen as well as engage in conversation
about the position.
Gather the employers expectations while trying to talk about the written job order.
Demonstrate your research about the organization and ask questions you prepared
ahead of time.
Learn how you would fit in the organization.
Discover of the organization is the right place for you.
Your Preparation
Assess yourself and your potential employer, do a research ahead of time. Have a mock
interview and prepare for different types of interview.
Ahead of Time
Plan your route for getting to the interview, be there at least 20 minutes early.
Prepare your clothing in advance
Bring extra copies of your resumes and bring your Applicants Portfolio
Turn off your cell phone before entering the venue
Know Yourself
In answering the question tell me about yourself briefly and clearly present your
top-related, learned and self management skills.
Do not talk about any personal information (marital
status, children, health issues etc, also those pertaining to personal opinions).
Provide your strengths as
well as your weaknesses.
