Lesson #2 Title:

Who am I? Character Study and Creating Pathways

Lesson #2 Learning Goals


Students will:

Extending understanding to how the plays characters connect
to their own career pathway

Students will be asked to select a


character from the play and analyze
their traits through a mind map they
create on popplet using an ipad/ device

They will look at the characters career


goals through a graphic organizer and
their who am I questions. On the
opposite side of the graphic organizer
they will fill out a similar chart for
themselves (individually)
Students will be given a series of 5
blank playing cards, one for each of the
who am I inquiry questions and one
as the ace or their ideal career
pathway. On one side of the card they
will draw their answer to the question
(i.e. what do I want to become) and on
the other side they will write their
rationale based on their own character
traits. The ace will be their rendition of
their ideal career

We will read a scene of the play that relates to


the characters careers and then play our card
that most relates to the characters. (i.e. if our
opportunities are similar to the characters)

Cues will be provided at the bottom of the graphic organizer to help
