Personal Statement
A Bachelor of Arts, major in History and minor in Visual Arts from St. Francis Xavier University
and current Teacher Candidate at the University of Ottawa. I believe that all students will benefit
from a learning environment that is calm, supportive and organized, where open and interactive
dialogue and critical thinking are key on historical and contemporary issues. I am focused on
exploring the cross curricular links between History and visual arts which will enrich student
learning across these subject areas. Organization and collaboration with colleagues are two
important skills that possess. I hope to take my skills and excitement for education abroad and
travel as much as I can as I continue to fulfill my own thirst for knowledge and experience.
