ARTIFACT A66 - TEMPORAL DISPLACEMENT DEVICE

Classification/Category: Temporal Transposition Device
Description: This likely unique device first appeared on the public radar last year during the American Underground bombing of the
Western Federation Transient Reeducation Facility in Old City Columbus, Ohio. Artifact A66 appears as a fist-sized, silvery cube with
no apparent features of any kind.
Effects: The device is activated by presenting the cube towards the target and consciously willing it to function. Affected targets
disappear, being projected into the future for D6 rounds after which they reappear at the same location. To observers the target is
instantly bathed in a wavering, short-lived energy field before it vanishes, only to reappear a short time later. The target is unharmed
and arrives in the same condition as it left. Of note, the wielder is considered a valid target for this effect.
Artifact A66 may be safely activated once per scene within Close range. Additional activations cost the wielder 5 hit points each as the
device draws on her life force to fuel its power. Telepathic wielders may spend 5 TE in lieu of HP for each additional activation.
Side Effects: This device is nearly weightless despite its heavy, metallic appearance. It is indestructible to contemporary forms of
damage and immune to all current sensor and scanning technologies.
A telepath wielder with Prescience 5 can predict and control when the target will reappear (within D6 rounds). This side effect becomes
known to the wielder after the devices function is known.

Example: A Prescient can spend 5 TE to control Artifact A66 to let her (or another designated target) reappear anytime within a 6
round window of her choosing.
