Fermentation Experiment

Name: kanyanat (BONUS) 11-6

Hypothesis
I think that the first one that we add sugar and yeast in to water in flask 1 will be happen
fermentation because yeast will eat or make reaction with sugar, and then balloon will get
bigger. And the second, will remains the same because it contain only sugar, the sugar will
only dissolve and not have any react to balloon.
Table compared two flasks( After 1 hours)
With Yeast
The balloon get bigger
It change color to light yellow

No Yeast
The balloon remain the same
Does not change the color

As the result, the yeast in flask 1 eats sugar and while it eats sugar, it releases gas carbon
dioxide. The gas continues fills the flask and then the balloon become bigger as the gas
created. On other hand, the flask 2 is remaining the same because it has only sugar that the
sugar will only dissolve in the water, so the balloon will not become bigger.
