Lonnies Story
Traveling around the state as a livestock auctioneer, Lonnie didnt
have time to deal with the back pain he tolerated for many years.
Following a recommendation by another physician he met Dr.
Richard Manos, spine surgeon, for his surgery at West Valley. The
surgerywas a success and Lonnie is at the top of his game again!
It was to the point where it was unbearable pain I had good
doctors and an outstanding nurses staff, plus somebody upstairs
looking out for me. Youre only as good as the people you have
working for you, and (West Valley) is a good outfit.

Cheryls Story
Cheryl came to West Valley Medical Center emergency
department experiencing chest pain. Dr Barnes and the medical
team treated her for what first appeared to be symptoms of a
heart attack. Following x-rays and tests, it was determined that
Cheryl needed emergency surgery to remove her gall bladder.
Dr. Agee and the staff did a great job. I felt like I was the only
patient in that hospital

Colleens Story
Colleen was experiencing severe knee pain for several years. Putting
off surgery to care for her ailing husband left her in tremendous
pain and a bleak outlook. She connected with Dr. George Nicola,
orthopedic surgeon, for knee surgery. Colleen went from using a
wheelchair to walking and enjoying life again.
Dr. Nicola saved my life. Im alive again. I feel free and want to
go places and do things now.

Maurinas Story
There are many options when it comes to healthcare choices.
Based on a recommendation by a friend, Maurina chose to deliver
her baby at West Valley Medical Center. Even though her baby
was premature, knowing there was a team of doctors ready to
handle all possibilities put Maurina at ease.

in the State of Idaho. This 150-bed facility is nationally accredited and has been
part of the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) family since 1975.
1945 - First meeting of the Caldwell Memorial Association Fund
to discuss fundraising efforts for Caldwell Memorial Hospital
1950 - Caldwell Memorial Hospital opens its doors as a 75-bed,
short-term acute care facility
1975 - Hospital is purchased by Hospital Corporation of America (HCA)
1977 - Patients move to new facility, which is the current 150-bed hospital
1987 - Name changes to West Valley Medical Center
2000 - Partnership with Saint Alphonsus to open Caldwell Cancer Center
