The Chappell Players Theatre Group proudly presents:

THE CAT IN THE HAT

Dr. Seuss is back on the Little Theatre

stage! This imaginative play brings to life
everyone's favorite mischievous cat as he
turns a boring, rainy day into a fun-filled
extravaganza! The Children's Show is
performed for elementary school children
and the general public of the St. John's
community.

This adapted play, written by Katie Mitchell,

features such favorites as the Fish, Thing 1 &
Thing 2, the Cat, and a few surprises. The Cat
in the Hat will be the directorial debut of our
very own Chappell Players Treasurer,
Dennis Cullen.

STRAIGHT SHOW 2015:

The Library

March 2015

The Library by Scott Z. Burns, while

dramatically dierent from The Cat in
the Hat (see what we did there?), will be
our last and final production to round
out the incredible 2014-2015 season.
The Library is an edgy play detailing the
aftermath of a school shooting at
Golden Valley High School. A survivor
of the attack, Caitlin Gabriel, is blamed
for the deaths of various fel low
students when a witness claims that she
revealed their location to the shooter.
The Library first opened at the New
York City Public Theatre in 2014 and
we are honored to bring this piece to
St. John's University. This modern
drama truly showcases our society in
such times of tragedy and loss.
This production will be directed by our very own Artistic
Director Samantha Tella. Tella has previously brought her
talents to the Little Theatre stage directing Rent (2010),
Honk (2012), and many more. She is very excited to be back
once again to bring her rendition of The Library to life.
