Phase 1: Educational Preamble Sheet.

sentences explaining why what you wrote helps achieve the particular goal.
This will be done at home and will be typed format goes as follows:

In order to reach this goal all the students in the class should learn Accountable
Talk Prompts such as: I agree with ___(name)_____because I disagree with
___(name)_____because. Often students feel uncomfortable discussing the
controversial issues embedded in this classroom. The discomfort from such
discussions have prevented many students from freely expressing their opinions in
class. The prompts allow for students to engage in discussion of a controversial
issue through premade prompts which can convey an opinion in a noninflammatory manner. Such prompts develop an environment where more people
can feel comfortable discussing a controversial topic creating an environment
freely express their opinions.
