30.What are the strengths of this school?
Best program! My kiddo received great help for speech delay and we love his teacher.
All the teachers, therapists, and other staff! A huge strength for our family is Mr. Dave and Miss Cindy!!
They are friendly and considerate of everyones needs.
Everyone at the school works so closely together and closely with the families.
Friendly staff.
Very caring environment! Great teachers!
I thank you and God every day for this school. Christopher loves it and I am amazed at some of the
things he can do and has learned from going there. They definitely are preparing the children to learn
how to survive with their disabilities in our society and even more. The staff there all love and care
about every child that attends there.
A genuine care for my sons growth. Communication with me, varied programs, and field trips that get
my son out in the community. I have been thrilled with the Learning Center, my sons support team, and
especially his teacher, Mrs. Dawn.
Besides great staff and teachers I think the closeness of the smaller environment is a positive. People
know each other and respect each other, allowing for good communication between both teacher, staff,
and parent/student. Our family is thankful for the Learning Center and all involved to keep it running
smoothly.
The school provides much safety for our children from the negativity of the world. It individualizes
learning for most of the children and gives opportunity to become individuals.
The respect and patience your staff has towards the students. Also how they treat students as if theyre
their own children.
The activities/field trips, music, speech therapist on site. The staff is extremely friendly! I never feel
unwelcome.
The communication with the teachers is excellent. If I have a concern, Tricia sends things home to help
out. Very helpful and encouraging to the students.
The teachers are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond for the students.
Helpful, friendly staff; safe learning environment.
They do a great job of communicating with the parents about what the child is learning and how the
child is doing at school.
I love the one on one my child receives with this school rather than others. I love the activities and
involvement my child gets to be include and a part of because of this school.
I like how the classrooms are smaller so that teachers can work one on one with my child.
The obvious care for each other, both among students and staff. The experienced teachers are
excellent and help the new teachers along. I have seen these interactions. The teacher aides are very
capable and dont mind doing the messy things that inevitably come up. Each student has the best
opportunity to achieve up to their own capabilities.
Communication with the parents, knowledge of working with students with special needs, keeping the
children involved through the whole day.

31.What about our school needs to be improved?

It would be awesome to have class Dojothis way I have a more direct way of communicating with
teacher especially when at work. Otherwise I see nothing else! WONDERFUL PROGRAM we would
be lost without it
Absolutely nothing!
I cant think of a thing. The school always seems to be keeping up with any new learning technologies
and improvements they can make to help the students. The communication between school, bus, and
me as a parent, is very good.
Honestly everything is just right
One suggestion might be instead of information being sent home about illness in the classroom only, it
be notified for the whole school. Even if said illness is in one classroom, there is still interaction in
hallways and on the bus.
More feedback of evaluation of childrens progress. Via what is being taught, and without adding more
work to parents or teacher. Perhaps a syllabus or goal of classroom; i.e. jot down what was learned
weekly to give more communication for non-communicating children. Book is nice but find it hard to ask
due to time and not sure what to ask.
Need more funding and support. We needs more schools around here just like the Learning Center.
Time spent on the bus.
Public image. When I was going to enroll my child I had people that I knew and am friends with try to
talk me out of sending my child to the Learning Center.
This isnt an improvement but I would love to volunteer help in any classroom like once a month if Im
needed.
There is no need for improvement.
Nothing I can think of can be improved at this school. You all do a wonderful job with our daughter and
thanks to all of your hard work she has made leaps and bounds in the last two years. Thank you.
I wish there was communication about progress and tips to help the learning process at home.
Especially with the sign language taught. As the parent I was never told by the teachers the signs so
when my son uses them I am unsure what he is trying to tell me.
Nothing I can think of.
Maybe the curriculum. My child needs so much help and Im not convinced she learns what the
curriculum is trying to teach. And I think maybe an inservice for parents might be a help on how to keep
a consistency between school routines and home routines and how to help your student through
transitions. (Maybe this is not a school responsibility)..
I believe that some things should be given a little more consideration when it comes to working on an id
plan. Some things would greatly improve the students success.
First year here. So far very impressed with Jon and his growth. Thank you.
