captureofwildanimals.Butthetruthis,alltheseconcernsaremyths!Animalsaretreatedwell,
zoocageswillceasetoexistandanimalcaptureisntathinganymore.Thisevidenceistoprove
thatanimalsincaptivityisntacrime.

Whilesomepeoplehaveareasontoworryaboutanimals,thereshouldntbe!Therecent
releaseofthedocumentaryBlackfish,hasmadepeoplemoreawareaboutthehealthof
animals.Thisfilmwasahugedisappointment.Itlackedaclearfocusandwasnotatallwhatit
claimedtobe.ThisseemsmorelikeasidewaysattempttoslingmudatSeaWorldina
circumferentialmanner,thoughitseemsthisclaimmayhavesomemerit(thereseemstohave
beensomedeliberateornegligentmismanagement).ThisfilmisnothinglikethegreatPlanet
Earthseries.Iwouldnotrecommendyouwatchthisfilm(Reviewerbwalle)Itsverybiased
anddoesntgivetheothersideachance.ItdoesntshowwhattheSeaworldhastosay,then
counterclaimit.Prettymuch,Blackfishisisolatedw/theirownbelief.

Animalsincaptivityareingoodhands!Manypeoplebelievethatanimalsaremistreated
inthezoos.Butthetruthisthatzookeepershavetobeagraduateofzoology.Whichmeansthat
zookeepersknowwhattheyredoing.Andtofurtherbackupmystatement,approvedschools
teachzoologysoanimalscanfeelcomfortablew/theirzookeepers.Thereareactuallyseveral

schoolsintheUnitedStates,whichteachyouaboutbecomingakeeper:onein

Anotherconcernduetopopularbeliefisthatcagedanimalsarebetteroffinthewild.But
onezooinFloridaclaimsthatthisbeliefisfalse.Asanexample,bigcatsinthewildfrequently
liveonly8to12years,andthisisiftheysurvivea50to80percentmortalityrateforthefirst
twoyearsoflife.(NaplesZoo).Butthetruthisthatanimalsarewellfed,givenmedicineand
aided,whichleadstoalongerlife.Likementionedinthepreviousparagraph,zookeepersknow
whattheyredoing.Ifreleased,animalscommonlydontdiebecauseofnaturaldeath,butfrom
predatordeaths.

Capturinganimalsoutofthewildisntathinganymore,oratleastforzoosandwater
parks.Thelastcapturesessionsfororcaswasinthe70s!Bytheearly1970s,Goldsberryhas
capturedmorethan200orcas.(FrontLine)Thosewereenoughorcasfortheaquariumsatthe
time,sonomorecapturinghappenedsincethen.EventhoughwhatSeaworlddidwasmorally
wrong,theydidhaveapprovalfromthegovernment.Iguessthiswasthecapturestoendall
captures.

Incaseyoureunhappyw/zoos,aDanishzooisunderconstruction.Whenopened,itwill
bethefirstcagefreezoo!ThenamewillbeZootopia.
OrganizedbyAfrica,America,and
Asia,thezooredesignwillhavecontained,elevatedviewingareasforhumans,givingthe

creaturesmorespacetoroaminatmospheresmoreakintotheirnativehabitatsthanatraditional
zoo.(Slate).Thisgivesusastrongconfirmationthatmorezoosinthefuturewillfollowalong.
Plus,itcannowbringbackthecrowdthatdislikezoos!
Thismeansthatthiszoocanmorethan
likelystartatrendofcagefreezoos!

Inconclusion,animalcaptivityisntacrime.Animalsarebetteroffwhenhumanstake
careofthem.Animalcapturesoftodayarenotusedforentertainmentanymore.Andtheyllbea
brightfutureforthenextgenerationofzoos.ThispointHAStobemade,becausepeoplehaveto
realizethatzooanimalsdonthaveahorriblelife.Sothenexttimeyougotothezoo,dontfeel
badforthem,causetheyrelivinthegoodlife.
