A. New routes: - Vistara company spokesperson said in a news interview that it will launch a daily
flight on the Delhi- Pune route from April14, which will take the new carrier's total destinations
to eight. The airline also added in release that with the latest addition of Pune in the route
network, customers can now book Vistara flights from Delhi to seven destinations -- Pune,
Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Hyderabad and Guwahati and Vadodara. The airline will deploy a
148-seater A320 aircraft, with 16 business, 36 premium economy and 96 economy class seats, to
service the new route it said. Thus, above interview shows about companys planning towards
start of new route in addition to existence to old one.
One study shows that India requires good air transport links to provide fast and efficient links to
the major domestic and global markets. Since, countrys road and transport infrastructure is in
turmoil state due to outdated infrastructure. The demand for transport infrastructure and services
has been rising by around 10% a year with the current infrastructure being unable to meet these
growing demands. It shows that air transport will play crucial role in growing demand of
transportation.
In addition, the Company at present has five aircraft in its fleet. It plans to take to nine by the end
of the 2014 to fulfill new routes demand.
