As her University Supervisor for Drexel University, | observed and evaluated her for her Pennsylvania State certification as she student taught grade one at the Unionville Elementary School in the Unionville-Chadds Ford Schoo! District in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Additionally, | supervised Richelle during her pre-student teaching experience at the Penn Wood Elementary School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Throughout these endeavors, Richelle performed with outstanding instructional abilities. She quite rapidly developed quality skills in instruction, classroom management, and an overall understanding as to how to address the needs of diverse learners. Richelle’s content knowledge is quite good and she possesses a natural ability to convey this knowledge to her students, She established a very good standard of conduct with her students that resulted in a good rapport, ‘cooperative behaviors, and little loss of instructional time on a regular basis. Throughout instruction, elle had good student involvement and interactions resulting in appropriate social, personal, and intellectual development. elle’s instructional delivery style isa very straight forward yet dynamic, effective, traditional technique with a nice level of energy and enthusiasm. She depends highly on her content knowledge while maintaining a good assertive environment which her students respect. Technology is used appropriately as an effective instructional tool. Richelle encourages critical thinking and some integration of other curricular disciplines has been noted. Best practice techniques are used consistently and appropriately during her lessons. She established good routines and procedures and regularly conveyed high expectations of her students.
