IanticipatechallengeswiththeCELDT1students.Kafinwillbesteppingintohelpthemformore1:1
writingdirection.Thiswillchangeforlaterlessonswhenwehavehadthetimetoworkoutaplanforthem.
PostLesson
Writingshouldcomefirstaswholegroup,insteadofdrawing.Toomuchtimewastakentodraw.The
sentenceframewasineffective.Studentscouldnotreaditback,anddidnotuseitwhenformingtheir
sentences.Thereweremanywhojuststartedtheirownsentenceeitherimmediatelyaftertheweoronthe
nextline.Iwassurprisedbyhowmanystudentscouldnotformtheirownideasofwhatkindnesswas,prior
togetitnguptowrite,whentheyweresharingwiththeirfriends.Sincethelesson,Ihavetakeneffortto
mentionwhenIseekindacts.
