What is River?
River is a life that carries water from high
stream to the sea as known as down
stream. Fishes, crabs, tiny creatures like
worms, river otters, beavers and many
more. River water helps us to survive. And
to plants, river water is very important.
Because it helps the photosynthesis
process that produces food for the plant
itself and animals or human.

River
River is a natural water flow that
travels from highlands, middlelands
and last, lowlands. River water
comes from the rain of lake water,
sea water or other river water
evaporation and will always follow
the gravitation of the land that the
waters flowing on.

The River water cycle

River water is a water that always comes from
rain water, dew, springs, underground water
flows, water absorption, lakes or even another
River. For example rain waters. Firstly, the
sea/lake/other Rivers waters will evaporate and
shapes a big grey cloud that will be a rain source.
When the water goes down due to the gravity on
Earth, it will flow on its first stage (mostly) on
mountain highlands. The water will flow due to
the gravity (again(now on land)) that goes
straight down to the sea (mostly).

River is not a public

Did you ever heard of a popular River named sungai
Ciliwung? Sungai Ciliwung is a River that crosses
Indonesias capital city. Today, sungai Ciliwung is a public
trash bin to citizens of Jakarta city that doesnt have any
responsibility feeling to sungai Ciliwung. The government
already told the citizens to not throw rubbish into sungai
Ciliwung but the citizens still throw the rubbish into
sungai Ciliwung that gives negative impact to the River
ecosystem and to themselves. But the government still
tries to find a way of brainstorming the citizens to follow
the rules because sungai Ciliwung river is the biggest
water resource that can be found in Jakarta city.

Effect of River trash

(to animals)
Lets see, sungai Ciliwung River is dirty. In fact, it
breaks the world record as the 1st dirtiest River in
the world! Are you proud or embarrassed with it?
Because of it, animals that live inside the River
cant survive. For example, animals need sunlight to
live. But the River surface is filled with trash so the
animals cant get enough sunlight or even not even
a tiny hole. Water quality also effects the animals to
survive. Our biggest chance to see a fish in the
sungai Ciliwung downstream is a fish named, ikan
Sapu-Sapu. It survives by eating dirt.

Effect of River trash

(to human)
The River water is dangerous if we accidently
swallow the dirty water. Germs and disease in the
water could attack our body. The symptoms can
be very painful such as, stomach ache and skin
diseases. Remember not to throw garbage into
the river because River is not a public garbage
can. In the River, there lived varieties of
creatures. As source of water, River must be
clean because we as living things still need River
to sustain our life.

In the past, Ciliwung was a clean River. A lot
of species still live in the River. People used
the water to drink, taking a bath and
washing their clothes.

actually people cant use the water
anymore because of the trash and the
pollution but eventually the people still use
the water even though its dirty^-^

Sarmili. He leads KPC Lenteng agung. Besides KPC Lenteng
Agung, Theres more branches from Headstream to
Downstream. What did KPC did to Ciliwung River? KPC
Lenteng Agung made a trash bank. Trash bank is a place to
keep rubbish and it will be recycled. The rubbish that is
recycled can be sold and produce money.
