Bill Gives Veterans, Active Duty Military 50% Discount On Hunting & Fishing Licenses
Santa Fe, NM Legislation that supports New Mexicos veterans and active duty military
passed the House floor on Thursday by a unanimous 59-0.
The legislation, sponsored by Rep. Alonzo Baldonado, will give veterans and active duty military
a 50 percent discount on any Game and Fish Department license, such as hunting or fishing
permits. The discounts for veterans and active duty military are not new, but this bill will
eliminate confusing categories and create a more straightforward process.
Our veterans and active duty military deserve our support for serving our country, Baldonado
said. I am proud of my colleagues for passing this legislation.
