Unicellular freshwater flagellates.
Example : Euglena
Have chlorophyll a & b and carotenoids
(pigment that found in green algae and
plants).
Stored food as paramylon (polysaccharide).
Can live as autotrophs or heterotrophs
Become hetetrophic and obtain nutrition by
phagocytosis when light levels are low.
