The distribution of a magazine is crucial to be able to


sell the magazine and get it out into the market to
attract the target audience. I have previously
mentioned (in task 4a) that I will be using Bauer as my
distribution institute. This is because they have been in
close relation with the music industry since it was first
established so therefore, would have better knowledge
on how to target the niche market successfully.
Bauer has previously been in charge of distributing
magazines such as:

Bella
Kerrang
Take a break

As well as distributing magazines, Bauer is also


responsible for distributing several Music television
channels which goes to show that Bauer is heavily
dependent on the music industry in order to earn
money for the company; as are editors upon Bauer.
Bauer isnt recognised for distributing many pop-related
products but their heavy influence on the distribution of
other products belonging to other sub-genres makes
them even more favoured because if they are able to

successfully distribute Rock magazines, then the


stereotypical focus on Pop magazines target audience
should make the distribution of pop magazines quite
simple: more straightforward than distributing rock
magazines anyway.
