2nd Biennial Nursing Scholarship Conference to be held on
Thursday 18t h and Friday, 19t h June, 2015.
In line with the mission of the Honour Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International aims to
support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a
difference in health worldwide.
Conference Focus:

Caring Leadership in a Politicised Nursing Arena


Conference Objectives:

Recognize the importance of nursing scholarship, research and evidence to influence practice,
education, research and health care policy in a tim e of political tension.
Prov ide an inclusive platform for the ex change of nursing knowledge.
Stim ulate networking potential to strengthen the nursing impact and input.

Abstracts that fit within the following two broad themes are suggested for submission:

Applying policy to the reality of nursing practice

Nursing development and leadership


Submit a 300 word abstract for a paper or poster on:

Evidence based practice that uses research findings, quality improvement data and
other forms of evaluation data to identify methods of improvement.
Discipline specific scholarship that creates, develops and maintains the intellectual
infrastructure of the nursing discipline.
Reflective scholarship that supports personal and professional renewal.
Research that generates new knowledge about a phenomenon or validates existing
knowledge.
