concepts of invasion
games

lesson to warm up using the American football in a ball familiarization
activity.

Gain knowledge and

understand of defensive
strategies

Students Will then get into pairs and begin to practice throwing the football
to each other. Slowly getting further away after 5 successful passes at that
distance. Introduce competition once reached 10 feet.
Students will line up and aim to throw the footballs to land in the hoops laid
out in a pyramid at different distances.
Students will then have their first taster into a flag football match and put
tag belts on.

knowledge from the previous lesson.
They will then incorporate passing on the move using football netball first
without any opposition then have a taster for it.

Pupils choose team
names at the start of the

tactics and strategies.

Students will then have their second taster into a flag football match and

game.
This will then be progressed into the offensive player trying to get to the other side
with the defenders having to stay in the zone.
