Learning objectives:
1. SWBAT demonstrate in writing which natural resources the M. E. has in abundance and
which resources are scarce
2. SWBAT demonstrate in writing how the climate of the M. E. affects its resources and
development
Essential Questions: Which natural resources does the ME have in abundance and which are scarce?;
How has climate affected the regions resources and development?
Materials: whiteboard, Schoology platform, laptop, projector, hard copies of articles.

understanding on a written assignment for a warm-up map exercise.

Students may need more or less time to complete their research. Students who finish early will be
advised to read both provided articles and search for one on their own.
Students who need additional help with notes will be provided them if they need them.
Anticipated misconceptions/alternative conceptions:
Students may need guidance finding web site articles.
