I am first a Christian far from perfect but growing in my faith.

I am a husband and
father. Im a native Coloradoan and a Medical Service Corps officer in the United
States Army. I like to think it that order maybe not executed so well!
I have worked most of my life. I had my first summer job when I was 12 working on
a potato farm with a crew that largely spoke Spanish. My parents demonstrated a
relentless work ethic that I carry to this day. I worked various summer jobs ranging
from ground crew for a crop duster, to a night security guard at a gold mine
reclamation project. In my first semester of college at THE Colorado State
University, I got my first real job at a retail animal feed supply store. I ended up
managing the place until I received my commission four years later. That job, and
my boss, where pivotal in my education where I learned the value of relationships,
honed some pretty dull sales skills, and received my introduction to ultra-low margin
business.
At 22 years old, I quickly had to grow up. I received a BS in Business Administration
and my commission as a Medical Service Corps Second Lieutenant the same day. A
month and a half later I was married to my college sweet heart. By the end of that
year, I had moved from Colorado for the first time and was assigned to the 101 st
Airborne Division.
I would spend my 23rd birthday in Baghdad, Iraq and my 25th in Eastern Afghanistan.
In those few short years I would have the opportunity to lead so many, culminating
as a VERY young company commander.
Then to California and one of the hardest assignments (and jobs) in the Army an
Observer, Coach, Trainer at the National Training Center. God also blessed me with
my first son. Boy 1.
After 26 rotations in the Mojave Desert, we left for Fort Sam Houston where I served
as a Captains Career Course instructor and the operations officer for the course.
God also blessed us with our second son.
Now Im in Army Baylor Learning what I dont know! Soon we will be on to the
next chapter at Fort Carson and Evans Army Community Hospital.
