Project Introduction

Are you looking for a space?

Are you waiting for someone to activate a certain space together?
Would you like to make our city more interesting,
more livable, and more surprising?
We welcome you to tell us any of your Space Share ideas and stories.

Our goals
In Taipei, there are many empty indoor spaces left unused. Through our Space Share
Platform, we introduce these spatial resources to appropriate users or groups in our
society, such as NPOs, social workers, social firms, or Cultural&Creative Activisms, so
that they can activate these precious spaces ideally. We want to realize the concept
of public service, and enhance Cultural &Creative businesses in our society. And we
would like to advocate the new values beyond the limitations of property
ownerships.
Who can use this platform?
We would like to invite a variety of Space-Demanders who can tell us their ideas of
improving common wealth to join us. We also want to invite Space-Providers to
share their fascinating stories of their spaces. In the process of space sharing, we will
invite experts from different professions to assist us, such as interior designers,
interior decorators, or business operation planners. We also welcome every citizen to
be a Scout of Space Share Ideas, providing us precedents of Share Space in
different cities in the world, as well as ideas of creating a good shared space.

Q: Why is Space Share different from space using?
A: Space Share not only satisfies Space-Demanders (need space) and
Space-Providers needs (need profits), but also develops diverse and creative ways
for the public to interact, think, and share their ideas about ways to improve
common wealth. For example, one can rent a space with affordable price to an
agency that serves healthy daily meals for the elderlies in a community. Space Share
has the flexibility of usage, and the meanings of sharing emotions and stories of the
community. It helps to reveal more interesting stories in a city.
Q: How does this platform work?
A:
Step 1: When a Space-Demander (ex: individuals, or organizations) or a
Space-Provider (a space owner) finds a likely match on our website, he/she can reach
us by filling up information in Contact Us section online. The Space Share platform
team will contact him/her for further procedures.
Step 2: Space Share platform will appropriately match both the Space-Demander and
Space-Provider.
Step 3: If needed, Space Share platform can assist applicants to propose operation
plans, or to provide consulting advices regarding to interior decoration plans.
Step 4: If needed, Space Share platform can assist applicants regarding to contracting
issues.
Step 5: Put the plan into effect. Business begins.
