Dear Mr. Clark,
While looking for jobs as a newly graduated Secondary Education teacher I came
across the advertisement that you are currently looking for teachers in the Biology
department at your Preparatory High School. The advertisement says that you are
looking for an exceptional candidate for your faculty positions in the fields of Biology,
and I would love to meet with you to discuss this opportunity further. Although I just
graduated from Arizona State University with Bachelors degree in Secondary Education,
I believe that I am highly qualified to take on a faculty position at your Preparatory
academy. I focused in on Biological Sciences and took numerous classes from
Microbiology to even Astrobiology. Arizona State University pushed me to take wide
variety of education courses with even a full year of student teaching at a High school
down the road from Arizona State University. Along with persistence to help students
and wide knowledge in the areas of Education and Biology, I believe that I would be a
viable asset to your team of teachers.
After reading the advertisement more closely I looked into the positions online
application. As a new school just continuing on in its second year, it seems as if you will
need teachers that not only offer a positive attitude but also teachers with superior
knowledge in their subject areas. As a recent graduate from Arizona States Mary Lou
Fulton Teachers College, I graduated with a B.A.E. in Secondary Education focused
in Biological Sciences. I believe that my background will completely tie in with the
mission statement of your school. In Astrobiology 340, I actually had to combine
multiple subjects from Calculus I to Physics to even Chemistry. It was a unique class
that applied the multiple science classes that I learned to just one subject. This
experience will help me create different ways to apply what the students learn in the
classroom to applications outside of the classroom.
Your advertisement states that applicants need to be exceptional in their certified
areas. I took a wide arrange of classes that can abide for how I am an exceptional
applicant. Within just first year at Arizona State University I went above the math
requirements and continued on in taking Calculus II while still finishing my
requirements towards my major. Not only did I take Calculus II in my freshman year, but
I also took Biology I and Biology II along with Chemistry I and Chemistry II all within

my freshman year of college. But believe me I rounded these classes with an Internship
Experience class where I helped developed strength in the STEM field to middle school
students in the Maricopa County. My background will help you not only prepare your
students to a job in the STEM field but also the aspects to grow as a model citizen in
society.
The Madison Preparatory Academy is a high school that is developing the future
of our society in the areas of STEM, and I would love to speak to you about an
