1. Organization
The teacher greets the pupils and creates the atmosphere. The
pupils greet him back. Good morning! How are you?
Who is absent today? Lets start our lesson
Warm up
The teacher writes on the blackboard (in the center) the word
ROOM and every pupil have to write the 1 word associated
with it.

The Direct method

The teacher gives cards to the pupils. There is a table with


words. Also she gives small pieces of paper with translation

of these words. Then she says that they will play into 1
interesting game that is called BINGO. Pupils have to find
the translation for every word and to match them. Who will
finish the game have to say bingo. Pupils will work in pairs.

2. Checking homework
The teacher asks: Did you do your homework? Pupils open
their copybooks and read their homework: ex 1, 2 p 71

b) While-Reading
Every pupil reads 1 sentence and translates it. The teacher
helps to translate the text. The others follow and write the
translation of unknown words.
c) Post-Reading
The teacher asks the pupils to say: Why Andries considers
his room to be special? Pupils say their opinions.
The teacher directs the pupils to the ex 2 p 72. She divides
pupils into 3 groups. The first group have to write the words
from the text referring to furniture, the second group- to
fittings and the third- to electric devices.
The teacher refers the pupils to the ex 3 p 72. Pupils have to
find synonyms for the following words: near, table, big, cosy
etc.

The teacher refers the pupils to make a dialog. Pupils will
