You have questions for the review prepared and are knowledgeable
as to whether student responses are right or wrong. The
SmartBoard is a great tool for presenting the questions and the
whiteboard is used to keep track of the score. The trashketball
game is very engaging students are all actively involved and
clearly know their content!

You set a very positive tone in the beginning of the lesson you
make cell review in preparation for a test sound like the most
exciting event possible! This is a great way to get students engaged.
You allow for student questions and do a great job of honoring
them. You are very respectful; you refer to the group as ladies and
gentlemen or boys and girls. Having a rule around respect is great
as you want the game to be fun but dont want it to become too
competitive.

Summary Statement and Areas to Concentrate on Improving: You do a nice job of explaining the directions to the group. Students
are intrigued about the game and are particularly interested in what might be in Ms. Dlugis bag of fun. Taking on a game format
raises some interesting challenges you want students to be engaged but you dont want the volume level to get out of control. You
set a lot of context for the game, which is great but in the heat of the game it can be difficult to maintain. The students were very
respectful of one another you set that tone by clapping for those who take a shot whether they make it or not. One question to
considershould points be based on the basket or on the correct answer? Could they receive points for the correct answer and gain
extra points if they make a shot? You want to be sure the focus is on correct concepts not on their ability to make a basket. The
decision is yours these are merely suggestions to consider. At the end of the lesson the students indicated some discrepancies in
answers given you handled the correction very well and allowed for the adjustment of points.
