Introduction: Many classroom teachers and school administrators desire to integrate
technology in the school, however they do not know where to start. This online module
is designed to provide you with an informational overview of how to integrate simple,
easy, free and inexpensive technological tools into your classroom and school.
Tasks: The participant will open the iLightBulb Keynote or PPT presentation. You will
follow the prompts and activities on each slide of the presentation. Remember, it is
interactive, therefore, you will need to digitally respond to the links and/or questions.
Remember, this is a self-paced, online module.
Process: Now that you have made the decision to enlighten yourself about how to
integrate technology, it is time to complete the process.
Step One: Brainstorm with Padlet Activity; Padlet is a Web 2.0 tool that allows your students or
participants to respond in the form of digital post-it notes to a wall.
Step Two: Take note of the Agenda and Resources Quick Sheet; you will need it as you complete this
online module. You may want to download the document and save it to your hard drive.
Step Three: Read slides 4, 5, and 6. Upon completion of Slide 6, click on the link provided and explore
the Technology Integration Matrix.
Answer the following question and post your answer on the Padlet. How can this Florida-based matrix be
modified to address your schools or states technology integration needs?
Step Four: Slide 7 and Slide 8 show a specific level and degree of Technology Integration. Watch the
video and notice how the instructor integrates technology with his math class and concept of adding
and subtracting fractions. How can your school use the same equipment and tools to foster
collaborative learning? Post your answer and thoughts to the Padlet.
Step Five: Slide 9 has a survey created through Poll Everywhere. Poll Everywhere is a quick survey
tool that allows you to poll your audience before, during or after the assignment. If you desire to check
for understanding, this is a free technological tool for you. Please use your phone or log on to the poll
via the web. Answer the question posted on the Poll. Your response will be captured and sent to the
