Accommodations:
Students who struggle can
raise their hand to ask
questions to clarify.
To modify the lesson I can
use another writing
template to help students
convey information from
the text.
Reinforcement Procedures:
I will be commenting and give positive
feedback to students who are following
behavior expectations and staying on task.
When students are not on task will see this
and correct their behavior.
I will be putting stars on their star charts
for students who are following directions.
Assessments:
Pre: Ask questions on what they know about
powwows to check for what prior knowledge
the students have.
During: I will ask students to do thumbs up
when they are finish writing to check for
understanding and legible writing.
Post: I will check the students work to see if
they wrote 3 things they learned from the
text on their handout.
Follow-up Activities:
A follow up activity would be to have the
students write a descriptive paragraph on
what they saw and learned about
powwows.
Another activity would be to have the
students rewrite what they wrote on their
handout on line paper to practice their line
writing.
