Timotei to develop new green packaging among other
environmental efforts
CINCINNATTI- Timotei, a brand of Unilever, plans to take

significant steps to reduce waste and carbon emissions in the


production and distribution of its products. The brand plans to save
energy and reduce waste in its factories, and to develop new
packaging made of 95 percent recycled materials for its Organic
Delights products.
These steps are part of a larger effort on the part of our parent
company Unilever to become more environmentally friendly, but they
also specifically reflect values of the Timotei brand, said Angela
Hartman, chairman of Timoteis Corporate Responsibility Committee.
Timotei values the beauty of nature, and these actions will reflect our
concern for environmental responsibility.

The new packaging will be made of 95 percent recycled plastic,
with a sleek new design that reduces overall plastic used by 30
percent. The new bottles are designed to resemble the green leaf in
the Timotei logo. The unique new packaging will not only save
resources by recycling plastic, but will also stand out to the consumer
due its pleasing aesthetics. This will help to differentiate Timotei as an
eco-friendly, natural brand, said Steven Warnock, director of brand
development at Timotei.
The new packaging for Timotei Organic Delights follows the
successful March launch of the product line in Cincinnati, which marked
the introduction of Timotei products into the U.S. market. The new
packaging will be released in correlation with Timoteis expansion of
Organic Delights into the Northeast and Southwest regions of the
United States. The Organic Delights product line is the first certified
organic range from a prominent mass-market brand. It is formulated to
be 95 percent biodegradable with an all-natural fragrance.

Timotei
Timotei, long renowned for its natural credentials, is a brand of
Unilever (a parent company that includes Dove, Treseme, Ben and
Jerrys, among other well known brands). Timotei is well known
worldwide for its natural herb extract shampoo and conditioners.
