Assistant Director of Student Affairs

Provide overall management and leadership for the Student Affairs department- including direct
supervision of 5 professional staff
Serve on a variety of campus committees- Campus Executive Council, Student Activity Fee,
Facilities Fee Committee, Behavioral Threat Management Team, Campus Safety Committee,
Enrollment Planning Committee, Strategic Planning Committee
Serve as the Student Conduct Designee for the campus
Plan and lead 12 to 20 students on domestic and international service learning trips during spring
break; Gulfport, MS; Tuba City, AZ; Urubamba, Peru; Moin, Costa Rica, Punta Gorda, Belize
Develop, plan, and implement student orientation and training of 15-20 orientation leaders
Oversee program and office budgets- ranging from $2500 to $125,000

General oversight and training for 15 clubs and recognized student organizations- serve as advisor

Assist in day to day functions of admissions office- meet with prospective students, answer
incoming phone calls, respond to email inquiries, general data input, and mail out general
information requested
Plan and implement traditional student recruitment events- fall, spring and summer open houses;
offer receptions; dual enrollment information sessions; Guidance Counselor luncheon; Spend-ADay visits; career/academic exploration for 7th-9th graders and local talent search groups
Responsible for recruitment of traditional age students from 4 county service area- including high
school visits and college fairs
Track and update status of traditional age applicants through weekly status lists
Assist in development of new admissions marketing materials
Contact point for Dual Enrollment program on campus- present dual enrollment options at local
high schools, meet with students and parents on individual basis to explain program requirements,
explore course options, set up placement tests, and process paperwork. Assist in billing process,

orientation, provide schedules and final grades for guidance counselors, and track enrolled
students throughout the year.
