I am writing this letter for the approval of my senior portfolio. With this approval, I will be able
to graduate and begin to pursue a career in Criminal Justice.
Throughout my high school education, I was taught to perform at the best of my capabilities and
to work at my fullest potential, preparing me for the professional world. I have met all the
educational requirements to enroll at a California State University, University of California, and
private colleges. Throughout my high school career I have participated in high school basketball,
vocal ensemble, and jazz ensemble. Through these activities, I have gained initiative, a will for
excellence, and the ability to work as a member of a team.
My plans after high school are to move into the work force to fund a college degree in criminal
justice. I plan on attending a university to earn a four-year degree. After successful graduation
from the university, I plan on applying my degree working as a correctional officer for the
California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
I anticipate and appreciate your enthusiastic approval of my portfolio. I look forward to my high
school graduation and beginning the next phase of my life.
