Financial Aid Reflection

1. What financial assistance does the FAFSA offer? Based on your application, do you
qualify for assistance through the FAFSA? If so, how much do you expect to receive and
how will you use this money?
FAFSA offers financial assistance for tuition, books, housing, and any additional cost that
a student may need. I do quality for the tuition, books, and additional cost through
FAFSA. I am expecting $1,500.00.

2. Are you eligible to receive the Cal Grant? If so, how much do you expect to receive and
how will you use this money?
Yes, I am eligible to receive the Cal Grant. I am expected to receive $1,473.00. I will use
this money for my rent and other living expenses.
3. Are you eligible to receive a Board of Governors Fee Waiver? If so, do you plan on
applying for the BOG Fee Waiver?
No, I am not eligible to receive a Board of Governors Fee Waiver at the moment.
4. Describe your findings from the private scholarship search. Do you plan on applying to
any of the scholarships available? If so, to which are you planning to apply and how much
do you expect to receive if you are accepted?
I am planning to apply for the Bill Gates Scholarship at the San Diego Middle Class
Scholarship. It is extra money that can help a lot with my books and tuition. I am
expecting to receive a full scholarship for Bill Gates, and around $5,000 for San Diego
Middle Class Scholarship.
