popularandsuccessfulbooksaretheonesthatarethemostwellwrittenandperfectly
constructed,withheartstoppingplotlinesandexquisitelydevelopedcharacters.Ofcourse,there
isanabundantofthesesortofnovels,asthereisnolackfortalentedauthors.Whyisitthen,that
somanyoftheNewYorkTimesbestsellingnovelsarethosecontainingobsessivelovestories
aboutvampires?
Formyproject,Iseektodelveintothepathofliterature,andwhatwilltrulydeterminea
bookssuccess.Iamnotthefirsttoaskthisquestion,astherehavebeenaplethoraofstudiesand
surveysconductedtryingtoextractthissecretofsuccess.Asistheprocedurenowadays,
inevitablyacomputermustbeconsultedatsomepointwhenattemptingtoanswerwidespread,
ambiguousquestions.Thesestudieshaveattemptedtoquantifyvastamountsofdataonthis
subject,processit,andmakeconclusionsaboutthereasoningbehindthisphenomena.Somehave
beenmoderatelysuccessful,otherslessso.Themostnotableoneshavecomeupwithoriginal

yearsofworkandstudyinamerehour,buttheyhaveyettocrossthebridgeintohumangenius.
Throughattemptingtoreplicatethesetechnologicalstudies,bycreatingmyownprogrammeant
tostatisticallyanalyzethequalityofwriting,Ihopetoprovemyownprogramwrongandfind
insteadthatthereisnosuchformulatothebeautyofthewrittenlanguage.
