Chronologically discussing most influential composers are great. I actually like learning about/listening
to medieval music. They are interesting.
The daily quizzes in MUS 115 were particularly effective; they refreshed my memory on what we
learned during the previous class period. Having to write my notes by hand, rather than being provided
a worksheet, also improved my active listening skills.
The quiz.
Very humerus in delivering lecture and material was easily understandable.
I liked the emphasis on placing music history on a timeline that allows students to understand how
musical elements developed over time. I like how I can comprehensively describe music history in 3
lines a this point in the semester. The analysis of music in films was also very interesting.
