Rayne C.

BACK GROUND INFORMATION


Rayne C. is a 16 year old ,white female committed to YDC
June 2013. Student enters with charges to include: Felony
Larceny, Misdemeanor Possession fro bringing a knife to
school, disorderly conduct: at school, Smoking marijuana,
drinking alcohol as well as disrespectful to mother fighting
brother and using racial slurs.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Rayne C. is a young lady with a diagnoses of conduct disorder, Mood disorder


NOS, and Disruptive Behavior
Disorder. Rayne C. has been prescribed the following psychotropic medications
during her lifetime beginning as early as the 2nd grade; Abilify, Vyvanse,
Strattera, Intuniv and Adderall. Currently Rayne C. is taking Intuniv.
With the use if individual and family therapy, treatment assessment will focus
on motivation for Rayne C. to change as well as give insight into the feelings
and behaviors that has resulted in negative consequences.

SERVICES
Since entering YDC, Rayne C. has participated in the following
services; Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents
Responding Chronic Stress (SPARKS), Anger Management,
Substance Abuse Treatment, Criminal Relapse Prevention, and
currently takes part in on going individual/Family Therapy as
well as Substance Abuse Relapse Prevention Group.

STRENGTHS AND LIMITATION


Rayne C. strength lay in the support of her mother and father.
Shen has demonstrated increase in respect for her parents
since beginning family and individual therapy sessions.
However, limitation that are present is the conflict
experienced during the separation of her parents. Rayne has
suggested that during her time living with her mother, there
were time of drug use and times of mother would leave for
weeks at a time. These issues has limited Rayne confidence.

ASSESSMENT GOALS AND SPECIFIC


INTERVENTIONS
1. Rayne C. will attend individual therapy sessions to address
her committing offense, criminal and anti-social behaviors:
discussions on decision making skills and alternative adaptive
coping skills to aid in replacing negative behaviors.
2. Family sessions- Relationship with family; explore positive
and negative life events that contributed to decision making
and YDC commitment
3. Future Goal- treatment will focus of short and long term
goals explore various sources of anger reflect on positive
traits and desired characteristics traits as a Woman.

QUESTIONS

DURING INTERVIEW BIAS INCLUDED THE PARENTS ABILITY TO NOT SUPERVISE THE DAILY ROUTE OF A 2 ND GRADER .
DIFFERENCE IN VALUES INCLUDED THE TEEN CARE MORE ON HER FRIENDSHIPS AT THE YDC THAN THE PROGRAM, RESULTING IN
A LONGER STAY.
THE DYSFUNCTION AND SEPARATION OF THE MOTHER AND FATHER CAUSED EVENTS TO BECOME ASSESSABLE, THEREBY OPENING
UP FOR NEGATIVE INTERACTIONS/ CRIMINAL BEHAVIORS.
