Donate a Smile: A Campaign to Secure Health Programs for the Underserved

HOLLAND, MI., March 12, 2015 Holland Free Health Clinic (HFHC) announces the
launch of Donate A Smile: A Campaign to Secure Health Programs for the Underserved.
This critical effort will enable HFHC to continue to be an integral part of the local health
care system by filling gaps to make basic services available to people who would otherwise
go without care. This campaign has been initiated to help secure the future of Holland Free
Health Clinic.
HFHC is a localized, volunteer-driven organization which engages health providers, other
agencies and ministry partners in a collaborative effort to address unmet health needs.
Programs and services are strategically planned to correlate with the identified healthcare
gaps specific to the greater Ottawa and Allegan counties. Care goes beyond treatment and
places great emphasis on prevention and education. Programs are designed to help the
patient understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and empower them to take control
of their health. The work is vital and the need has never been greater.
HFHC is privately funded nonprofit organization, relying heavily on local support. We have
initiated this campaign to address the operational costs and infrastructure needs that will
allow us to serve our patients with compassion and provide hope for the future.
HFHC works extremely hard to carefully use all of their resources, says Campaign
Chairman Dr. Bob Sterken DDS. They leverage donated goods, talent and money to
maximize the return on community investment.
Organizers will be hosting a campaign kick-off event on April 23rd, beginning at 6 p.m.,
current supporters of the health clinic, and future supporters will be attending the event
hosted at Baker Lofts to learn more about the mission, goals, and community partnerships
of HFHC. An evening of dinner, presentations, and informational packets will be provided to
invitees.
The objectives of this campaign are to raise awareness of HFHCs mission, with hopes to
increase financial support, volunteer support of health providers, and collaboration with
local organizations and ministry partners. The overall goal of the campaign is to raise
$200,000. This will provide the clinic with the funds and needs to continue to serve the
patients in our local community with compassion and provide hope for the future.
