To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this reference at the request of Marco DAversa, who will be

applying for full time positions with the Calgary Catholic Separate School
District in the near future. I have known Marco since Dec. 20, 2014 in my
capacity as a Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director at St. Brigid
School.
Marco has been an Intern Teacher with me and my team teacher, Lisa Guderyan.
He has a strong knowledge of his subject matter and has shown growth in many
units of instruction that will improve with time, experience and the building of a
knowledge base. Marco has worked very well in collaboration with planning,
instruction and evaluation of the units taught thus far with the Physical Education
staff at St. Brigid.
He is becoming more confident in performing physical
demonstrations in Physical Education classes with a focus on proper technique and
perfect practice. Marco has also taken on the role of coach with his association with
our junior boys basketball team.
Marco sets high yet realistic expectations for students and reinforces good practice.
He points out areas for improvement and growth with the students. He sets
expectations for in-class behavior that are clear, firm, yet fair. Problems are dealt
with promptly with appropriate responses. Positive relations with the students have
been developed based on mutual trust and respect.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Marco. If his performance in our
Physical Education classes is any indication of how hed perform in any
available teaching positions, Marco will be an extremely positive addition to
