Wow, I cannot believe that this year is coming to an end with

your wonderful student. It has

been such a blessing being able to be apart of Tommys life over the past month. I believe Tommy has some
incredible leadership qualities in my classroom, and students respect and follow him. Our math lesson on
multi-step problems has been difficult for him, and he may have even told you about how he is struggling in
this area. He is showing signs of improvement, but after the summative assessment for the lesson he still has
fallen in the achievement area of needing improvement, which you will see on the upcoming progress
report. I have met with him, and we came up with an action plan that involves him working on problems in the
fraction chapter for 20 minutes every night for the next week along with spending five- ten minutes during
recess every day to go over what he has worked on at home. I believe that all he needs to understand the
material is more repetition with the concept. I would appreciate your help with the work at home. Continually,
encourage him to work on it, though he may not want to. He is required to bring in the checklist attached
below next Friday with your signature for each day. Thank you for all your help.
