PREFACE
The main aim of the project , A Tale of Many Cities is to offer the students a platform where they can
investigte the problems of the future in an urban context.It will challenge their traditional ways of problem
solving and hopefully lead them to think out of the box. The project aims to show the students the
opportunities open to them for personal growth and development , too.Thus , we chose themes encouraging
students to embrace a future which recognizes their multifaceted identities reflecting the interdependenceof
modern society.
The project deals with the discussion of how to build a sustainable European city for the future.In this
sense ,the project purposes a new look towards the building of the bonds between the schools and among the
students using of ICT every stage of the process , as well as the use of English language as a common
medium emphesizes our mutual interest in building this project on technical and linguistic foundations such
as e-book.The Book of Friends was created by students in all countries add to the innovative nature of this
project. All participating students prepared their own book of friends.They presented him/herself to the
other participants through text and pictures (appearance, family, hobbies, etc.)
So , this common Book of Friends is a bridge among the partners to develop the friendship and it is a
tool to know each countrys culture and understand that there is no difference among the students living in
another country so far from each, as well.
