Ms. Chadwick was very thorough in modeling and input. She used the smart board as well as other strategies
to capture student interest. Several examples were provided to complete guided practice. Ms. Chadwick
talked about how to find the correct answer while reinforcing the concept during this time. Ms. Chadwick
monitored students' behavior and time on task and encouraged correct behavior. Plans were detailed and
related directly to math standards of learning for kindergarten.
Q10: Areas for refinement:
For the disruptive student who refused to put up his paper: after he refused once, you may want to remove it
and tell him he can have it back later. He was rather fixated on completing it and may not have been as
engaged as much as he should have been.
