1. What did you learn about lifelong wellness from taking this course?
What I have learned about lifelong wellness from this Yoga I class is primarily to focus on
myself. What I mean with focusing on myself is to pay attention to aspects such as my
concentration when doing certain activities, the power that silence and stillness have in
order to keep me with a calm mind and a relaxed posture, and the way I choose to enjoy
things.
2. How has learning about and applying lifelong wellness concepts impacted your life
(home, school, work, etc.)?
Applying these lifelong wellness skills to my daily living has impacted me in such a
positive way that I can tell that I feel more healthy and know how to manage my life
without taking too much stress. What most helps me is to listen to my body first, such in the
case that I am doing an activity and I know I have to go somewhere else after that occasion,
I keep the thought that causes me anxiety apart, not forgetting it still, and focus on the
present moment.
3. Discuss specific lifelong wellness concepts learned in this course and how you are going
to implement them in your life?
In this course I have learned many concepts that can help me to improve my life style. Such
concepts are the practice of meditation to relieve stress and stay focused on what I am
doing at the moment, stretching and the good consequences it can bring to my body,
breathing for my relaxation, and I think this particular aspect is very important for my
health, and the different Yoga postures that I can perform to create a calm spirit in the
environment where I am at. But most of all, listening to my body is the concept I need to
follow constantly to reach the pleasant and joyful life I want to have and kee for my well
being.
