1) According to several different conflicts in the past that the NBC article clearly

outlines, my opinion is that the Sunni-Shiite conflict in Iraq is not only about religion.
While religion might be a major factor in the dispute, the majority of it, I believe, is
caused by ethnic differences and political warfare rather than religious reasons. Even
though Sunnis and Shiites are actually quite similar, it is hard for anyone to see that
because of their extended history of hating each other for unrelated reasons.
