To

It
May
Concern:
RE:
Recommendation
for
Maria
Camarena
It
is
with
pleasure
that
I
recommend
Ms.
Camarena
for
a
position
of
responsibility
within
the
Salt
Lake
School
District.
I
served
as
Marias
practicum
mentor
for
two
semesters
during
her
in-service
at
Jackson
Elementary
in
the
Salt
Lake
District.
Ms.
Camarena
taught
lessons
on
all
subjects.
I
found
her
knowledge
of
planning
to
be
excellent.
She
understood
the
components
of
a
lesson
plan
and
the
reasons
for
progress
monitoring.
All
lessons
observed
were
well
prepared,
effectively
executed,
and
carried
out
meaningful
assessment.
Her
rapport
with
the
students
and
home
culture
was
also
very
effective.
While
she
worked
to
understand
each
students
needs,
she
also
worked
to
adjust
her
teaching
to
meet
those
needs.
Her
latest
goals
of
implementing
team-building
skills
have
shown
to
be
a
productive
tool
as
her
students
applied
these
new
skills.
I
believe
that
Ms.
Camarena
has
the
knowledge,
skills,
and
desire
to
be
an
outstanding
teacher
in
the
Salt
Lake
School
District.
Her
enthusiasm
in
the
field
of
teaching
carries
over
to
the
students.
At
this
point
of
her
professional
career,
Ms.
Camarena
has
demonstrated
that
she
is
a
competent
beginning
teacher.
She
will
be
missed
at
both
the
University
of
Utah
and
Jackson
Elementary,
but
I
am
confident
that
she
will
be
an
exemplary
educator.
Please
contact
me
if
you
feel
that
I
might
be
of
further
assistance
to
you.
Sincerely,
Adeli
