Hello Chapter Member,

No one from your chapter has registered yet to attend this years Chapter Leadership
Development Workshop (LDW) at AACNs National Teaching Institute & Critical Care
Exposition in San Diego. But theres still time!
This day-long preconference is a great learning opportunity for your chapter. Dont miss
out on the $435 grant AACN provides to each chapter that sends at least one
representative. The grant money helps defray the cost of attending, and LDW is
the only preconference that provides this special perk.
For chapters in Southern California, LDW which takes place Sunday, May 17, from 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. is a great way to participate in NTI, even if you cant attend the whole
conference. This years focus will be on engaging chapter members. Vicki Good, AACN
immediate past president, will be the keynote speaker. Whether your chapter leaders
are experienced or new, lessons learned at LDW will benefit the management of your
chapter and are useful on the job, too.
Please discuss LDW with your chapter board and determine which leaders to send.
Theres no limit to the number of chapter leaders or members who may attend. Cost is
$85 per person.
